Aboriginal painting

One of the walls above a Spring
There are places we are asked not to photograph,
because they are sacred for the Aboriginals.
We are asked to respect their wished.
It was very easy for us to do it.

Uluru

I LOVE ULURU!
Can you tell I am happy to see it at last!
I jumped for joy when I first saw Uluru from the airplane,
everything I thought it would be.Us and Uluru at sun rise.
Very cold out!
Beautiful, Beautiful

We are Back from Uluru

What a awesome sight it was, everything I thought it would be!
Now if I could only get the blog to let me post some pictures!
No, it won't, I am so sad! Oh well maybe later tonight!
We flew in last evening, started unpacking, washing and repacking to fly home to LA
(Tuesday Morning June 1, 2010 here) and get in there June 1, 2010 in the early AM.
So much for the international date line. We now get the day back we lost 18 mos ago.

Cairns Trip

A bird drops a seed from a Strangler Fig in the top of a tree.
The fig drops down roots into the ground,
then shoots up vines that strangle the host tree
and finally strangles it to death.
Leaving the the fig tree to live happily on and on. Us at Malanda Falls
A view of part of the Strangler Fig Tree.

A lazy Python suning it's self.
We saw several more on the boat trip.

Lake Burrine
This lake is formed from a volcano.
There is a tea room here, we had Morning Tea
it was very good.
We rode out on the lake and saw snakes, ducks, very old trees, fish, and turtles.

We are back from Cairns

We just flew in from Cairns (pronounced Cans) this afternoon.

We had a Great time in Cairns, Qld. It is up at the top East side of Australia. We have now been in at least 5 Rain Forrest's they are lovely, green and 80 % of anything you might think you could eat or touch will make you very sick or kill you. Leafs that can make you hurt for months if not longer. It is amazing what Heavenly Father came up with for this Wonderful World.

I will post pictures, etc. another time. We have Family Home Evening at 6.00 PM tonight, a day to wash clothes and pack again and then we fly up to Uluru for 4 days to see the Very Big Rock.
I probably will have to post all the pictures and adventures of this past month after we get home. Not enough time here to do it.
