Odds and Ends

Looking out from the front of the Library at UNI
This is where we meet the Missionaries and the investigators
to teach lessons. We go and sit on the lawn for the lesson.
(I end up itching from the grass )
The lessons are really wonderful the Chinese students have great questions.
They also keep their appointments.

Elder Cai came out to Australia when we did.
He did not speak English when he came.
Elder Cai now speaks English very well.
We met Elder Cai the first day we got to Tamworth.
Hello was about all he could say.
I told him to learn 5 new words each day.
He has and many more. Elder Cai is a blessing for the Chinese work here.

Odds and Ends

Elder Doney showing off his Damper Bread
he made at the Ronald McDonald House.
Damper Bread was made out in the outback.
Flour, salt and water, then add what ever elce you want to it.
It's good especially with soup, stew, things you can soak up with it.

Odds and Ends

This is one of the many Post Boxes all over Australia.
You have to put the out going mail in one of these.
They will not take it at the Post Office.
You can not put your out going mail in your own post box to be picked up either. This is what the Australians do with old tyres.
They are cut in half, put over the pipes coming up and going down into the ground.
Very good use of tyres that would end up in the Tip.
(Tip=dump)Sisters Liu and Hepworth
with one of the many different Post boxes.

Odds and Ends

Brother Barratt and some of his flowers he brings every Sunday.
He brings three bouquets each week for the chapelSisters Liu and Hepworth
they serve in Armidale an hour and a half from us.
We love them.
We have lots of these trees in Tamworth.
I love the shapes of the branches.

My Tomato plants
The little green things in the pot are spring onions.
They have not done a thing, so far.

Odds and Ends

Some tomatoes from my plants, out in front of our flat.
There are lots more turning red as I write.
They are tasty and meaty. We have lots of these Parrots walking and flying around every where.
They are beautiful and very noisy.
