How fun to be so close and pet them

They will and can sleep anywhere

Hard to believe until you see it first hand

They would open their eyes once in a while,
while we were petting them.

It is wonderful to be up close to such unusual animals,

to us anyway, not to Australians.

We had two jump out in front of us a couple weeks ago

as we were driving to Moonbi, it was quite a sight.

One jumped right across the road the other jumped down the road for a while

before crossing.

He was great to touch and pet. He is the dad to all the babies here at this preserve. They have now brought in a young male to use for breeding so as not to have inbreeding. He will now have to share the ladies.

Koalas

Koalas are so amasing. They seldom drink water they get all they need from the leaves they eat. They sleep most of the time and in very odd places, at least to humans.(I don't know how I got the blue writing but Oh well) They have very long nails and generally are quiet.
