Equine Event Center Opening

These are some of the event participants after the show. The little group in the center are Aboriginal dancers. Two of the girls that danced are members of our Ward. They are inactive we had just met them the day before. The Medicine Man.
An Aboriginal young man playing an instrument.

The whole group dancing with the Medicine Mans smoke flowing around.

We really enjoyed the dancing and music the Aboriginal People performed for all of us.
It was fun, interesting and a great learning experience.

Primary Class

This is my primary class minus Montell. Jayde, Jasmine, Me, Kye-Isha, and Esther.Their ages range from just 6 to 10 yrs old

Beautiful Hannah

This is Hannah our only active Young Woman in our Ward. She is modeling her Great-Great Grandmothers wedding dress (here goes the blue again) She did it for our Relief Society birthday party. I wish Hannahs hair was down as it is very long and curly. Really pretty.

Horses What Else

Some of the horses we saw being shown during the day. Arabian in costume. Friesian Stallion unreal to watch in action. I fell in love with them.

Another Friesian Stallion in action. They are so so beautiful to look at, just standing in a stall. Then to see them in action is beyond discription. That was all I needed to make the day but more was to come.

Equine & Livestock Event Center

Feb. 21, 2009 we went to the big opening of the Australia Equine and Livestock Event Center. The day was filled with demonstrations, clinics, classes and checking out all all the facility. That night we went to the big show. (pictures come next) It was fun. This is the building they had the night program in it holds about 9,000 people and it was packed that night. They hold all kinds of events.

POST MEN and OOPs Cookies

This is what our Post Man in NSW looks like. They all ride the little motor scooters, dressed in bright orange. You sure can see them coming or leaving as the case maybe. They only deliver mail (envelopes) not packages, and do not pick up mail. A delivery truck delivers packages. You have to take your mail to a Post box not to the Post store. The store only weighs and stamps, you have to go out side and put it in the post box. The stores are owned by individuals and they can sell almost anything they want.

Oops! got the wrong picture in this bunch. My first batch of cookies baked in Australia. Took a plate to the sweet neighbor Marie, while the last batch was cooking. Big mistake I forget she always wants to talk, which I love but not when you are baking. So the last batch had burned bottoms. I scraped the burn off and they tasted good for us at home.
